Researchers, policymakers and community leaders gathered in Nairobi to chart priorities for non-communicable disease research.
Over two days in Nairobi, more than 150 participants discussed the rising burden of non-communicable diseases in East Africa and the research needed to respond. Sessions covered hypertension, diabetes, mental health and the integration of NCD services into primary care.
The symposium concluded with a shared regional research agenda that will guide collaborative work over the coming years.
