Determinants of PrEP uptake among young women: findings from a discrete choice experiment

Abstract

Pre-exposure prophylaxis remains underused among young women at substantial risk of HIV. Using a discrete choice experiment with 600 participants, we identified the service attributes — confidentiality, location and provider attitude — that most strongly influence PrEP uptake, informing differentiated delivery design.
